Returning on August 25th is Taste of Iowa City. Taste of Iowa City offers up Downtown's best culinary dishes for your sampling. From 4:00p - 8:00 on the 25th, restaurants all over Downtown and the Northside Marketplace will set up shop in front of their locations and serve sample portions of their menu favorites. Food tickets, redeemable at all participating restaurants, will be available for purchase in the Pedestrian Plaza and near the intersection of Market and Linn Streets. Don't miss out on your chance to try a little of everything available to Downtown diners!

Premiering on September 18th in Downtown Iowa City is the Art + Craft Fair. Artists of all styles, ages and abilities are invited to participate in this event. Explore Iowa City's unique literary history with a stroll down the Iowa Avenue Literary Walk. The Walk highlights the many authors who studied at the world-famous Iowa Writer's Workshop or called Iowa City home, among them: Robert Frost, Dylan Thomas, Kurt Vonnegut, John Irving, W.P. Kinsella and Tennesee Williams. Their work and the work of so many others has earned Iowa City recognition as one of only three UNESCO Cities of Literature in the world. The University of Iowa campus, intertwined with Downtown, showcases the Old Capitol Museum, the Pentacrest Museums and other cultural attractions.
