The Englert Theatre is a renovated, 104-year-old vaudeville theatre and nonprofit performing arts organization presenting music, comedy, literature, and more. It is a nonprofit arts presenter with the mission to inspire and activate positive community growth through the arts. Since its founding as a nonprofit in 2004, The Englert has been host to both popular, nationally-renowned acts and emerging, homegrown artists, representing its commitment to presenting world-class art and supporting the local arts economy. Housed in Iowa City’s last historic theater, The Englert is a cornerstone of downtown, with over 130 music, comedy, dance, literature, and community events held annually. “Mission Creek Festival – Mission Creek Festival is a 3-day music and literature festival in Iowa City every April. The festival thrives on intimacy and visceral connections between artists and audiences. It hosts events at venues encompassing much of the downtown district, including The Englert, Hancher, Riverside, Gabe’s, Trumpet Blossom, ReUnion Brewery, and more.

Track Zero – Launched in the fall of 2023, The Englert’s new concert series Track Zero features burgeoning, boundary-pushing, and up-and-coming artists. Track Zero is a recurring series that occurs at various intimate venues throughout the year, introducing audiences to fresh artists defining the next wave of alternative music.”
