Downtown Assocation (DTA)
The Downtown Association of Iowa City (DTA) is a non-profit association of business and community members who pool their resources to promote downtown. The organization provides leadership and undertakes programs to create, promote and sustain downtown Iowa City as a unique and economically viable business, entertainment, social and cultural center.
Adding to the vitality of downtown
The DTA serves as an advocate on behalf of downtown Iowa City and also works to create, conduct and promote events that bring feet to the streets of downtown. Popular DTA events include: Taste of Iowa City, Art + Craft, Top Chef: Downtown, Celebrate the Season, Sidewalk Sales, RiverFEAST. New in 2011 is Restaurant Week: Dine Downtown!
Park & Shop Program
DTA manages the Park & Shop program which provides businesses with parking ramp and bus vouchers for their customers. DTA members may purchase tickets for a 33% discount off the city’s hourly bus and ramp rates. Non-members receive a 20% discount off city rates.
