Wayfinding Map

A new Iowa City Downtown District wayfinding map is now up and ready for navigating for visitors and residents of Iowa City. All of the downtown kiosks now have our brightly colored Downtown District map on display. Each number on the map inside is keyed to businesses. The ICDD is excited to present our new and updated district business maps with foldable hard copies available at the ICDD office. Native Kids Ride Bikes

 The “Anishnaabensag Biimskowebshkigewag (Native Kids Ride Bikes)” project, which began in 2010, is a powerful collaboration between art and community. Indigenous youth in middle and high school, non-Native Michigan State University students, and Native artists came together to construct a series of seven lowrider bicycles, guided by the sacred Anishinaabeg teachings known as Niizhwaaswi G’mishomisinaani, or Our Seven Grandfathers.
