March 6: Jerald Schnoor, Professor in the Departments of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Occupational and Environmental Health, and Co-Director of the Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research (CGRER) at the University of Iowa, will discuss provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 as well as Climate Resilience.

March 13: Jane Wilch, Recycling Coordinator for the City of Iowa City, will provide updates on recycling and composting, common contamination issues (wishful recycling), and programming to come.

March 20: Sarah Gardner, Climate Action Engagement Specialist for the City of Iowa City, will speak about the new guidance for local rebates and how to prioritize what to do now vs. later to improve energy efficiency in your home.

March 27: Stratis Giannakouros, Director of the Office of Sustainability and the Environment at the University of Iowa, along with his team, work to educate, challenge and inspire the greater UI community to realize solutions to end climate change on a local level. Jessica Wiskus, rural Lisbon resident, has worked with her neighbors and others across the state for more than a year and a half to advocate against proposed CO2 pipelines. She will discuss where things stand now with these efforts.
