We are excited to announce that the 2025 Johnson County Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) Celebration will take place on Friday October 10th from 12:30–3:30 p.m. in the Iowa City Pedestrian Mall.

This year’s theme: ADA Works! Inclusive Employment for All

As in past years, the celebration will honor the anniversary of the ADA and connect the community with disability-related services and resources. In recognition of the 35th anniversary of the ADA, we are expanding this year’s celebration to include a career fair, hosted in partnership with IowaWORKS—a new and exciting addition designed to promote inclusive employment across our community.

In addition to the career fair, the event will feature a resource fair and a special program recognizing individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to the disability community of Johnson County.
