AIDs Healthcare Foundation Gathering

December 2, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) for the screening of “NOW! Advocacy Saves Lives”. The film tells the story of AHFs commitment to end the AIDs epidemic, fight for sex worker protection, and create policy on equitable housing, healthcare, and drug pricing for all.
We will watch the film and follow it with writing/signing postcards to congressional leaders asking them to protect life-saving programs like 340B. 340B is a drug discount program that allows the federal government to negotiate drug prices that help people living with HIV, hepatitis, cancer, diabetes, substance use disorder treatment, and many other medical conditions. Without the savings 340B provides, hospitals in rural Iowa could be forced to close their doors, leaving vulnerable populations without care. It costs taxpayers nothing, but big pharma doesn’t like that they can’t make a profit off it! Let’s stand up to big pharma.
Learn more at and like our facebook page to “HIV Mobilizers” to stay up to date on local Iowa events!

Iowa Harm Reduction Coalition will be involved to advocate on improving the lives of people who engage in drug use & sex work, to decrease overdose, prevent infectious disease transmission, improve access to health care, decrease criminalization, & create opportunities for support & healing. visit to learn more about their work.
