ECO Book Discussion: Making Local Food Work

June 19 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join Green Iowa AmeriCorps and the Iowa City Public Library for a discussion of Making Local Food Work – the challenges and opportunities of today’s small farmers by Brandi Janssen.

When it comes to local food, it takes more than “knowing your farmer.” Brandi Janssen takes on some of the myths about how the local food system works and what it needs to thrive… By listening to and working alongside people trying to build a local food system in Iowa, Janssen uncovers the complex realities of making it work.

Copies of Making Local Food Work are available from the Iowa City Public Library and through interlibrary loan.

Registration is required to receive the zoom details for this event. This event is open to all.

This event is open to the public.
