FilmStreet Outdoor Movie

August 21 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on Friday, repeating until August 28, 2020

FilmScene is excited to partner with the Iowa City Downtown District and the Bijou Film Board for a series of outdoor films in Iowa City’s Northside neighborhood.
FilmStreet is five weeks of blockbuster favorites in the newly closed area on the 200 Block of N. Linn Street. Open air, socially distanced, in the heart of the city—and completely free!
Safety is our first priority. Seating is first-come-first-serve and due to the pandemic, once all available seats or marked spaces are accounted for, the maximum capacity will be reached.
Groups should seat themselves together and attendees are encouraged to bring seats. Masks will be required on site for all. Northside businesses will be open at the start of the film, so grab a snack and enjoy!
What to know:
Seating will be arranged for the film one hour before the film starts, and guests are welcome to claim a space. All seating is first-come-first-served.
Limited picnic table and restaurant seating is available. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring chairs.
Support our Northside businesses by purchasing a meal or snacks for carryout to eat on the street. FilmScene Curbside Concessions are available for pickup at the Chauncey before the show.
Parking is available in the city lot between George’s and Bluebird, as well as on the street.
Restroom availability is courtesy of participating Northside restaurants. Please help lighten the impact by using the restroom at home before and after the show if possible.
