Richard Stevenson penned a series of mystery novels following fictional character, Don Strachey, a gay private investigator in Albany, NY. Don’s clients often feel that his sexual orientation gives him an edge when called upon to investigate cases that involve Albany’s gay community. Four of these novels have been adapted to the screen and will be presented on Friday afternoons in April.

Don tries to solve the murder of a college student involved in sexual orientation conversion therapy.

When a lesbian couple refuse to sell their home to a developer and are besieged by anti-gay vandalism, Don suspects the attack is motivated by big-business rather than homophobia.
4/28: Ice Blues (2008, 98 min)
After Don’s longtime partner asks him to uncover the source of a multi-million dollar donation to a youth center, Don gets caught in a high-stakes whirlwind of deceit and murder.
