Green Iowa AmeriCorps/100 Grannies “The Race To Save the World”

August 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join members of Green Iowa AmeriCorps and 100 Grannies for a screening of the film “The Race to Save The World” a documentary by Joe Gantz. The Race To Save The World follows the passion and unwavering commitment of people who aren’t putting their heads in the sand, or waiting for someone else to do something – they are in the trenches fighting climate change. The Race To Save The World is a film about people, ages 15 to 72 (including Iowa City’s own Miriam Kashia) who see the danger coming and are putting their lives on the line to try to turn this around. This is an uplifting film that will inspire viewers to stop waiting on the sidelines and make their voices heard for a livable future.

This film will screen LIVE in Meeting Room A at the Iowa City Public Library.

This event is open to the public.
