Grief Writing Workshop
June 26, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

This is a come-as-you-are grief writing workshop for anyone who is grieving anything – be it the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, the trauma of the last year, whatever it may be. We will meet outdoors and socially distanced in the gazebo at College Green Park, where our facilitator, Niki Conover, will share her grief writing with you and guide you in some grief writing of your own through a series of simple prompts. Your writing can remain private, or you can share your writing aloud. Though anger is a welcome emotion in our writings, this is very much a gentle and open-hearted forum where you should feel accepted and heard. The goals of this program are to process and release some feelings of grief through writing in a safe and warm environment.
Bring a pencil and paper, a laptop, tablet, or whatever you prefer to use to write. The gazebo has some picnic table seating, and we will have some chairs spread out, but if you’d like to bring a lawn chair for greater comfort, please do so. Masks are required when not actively drinking the Java House coffee that will be on hand.
This event is open to the public.
