Riverside Theatre will be back at the Lower City Park with Shakespeare’s, Henry IV, Part I!

A play about destiny, hijinks, family, and what becomes a leader, directed by Adam Knight.

ACTION, COMEDY, HISTORY, FALSTAFF!
When King Henry IV seized the throne from Richard II, he opened a can of worms that now threatens to pull apart the entire kingdom. If a king can be deposed once, what’s to stop it from happening again? Enter Harry “Hotspur” Percy, a dashing, battle-hardened nobleman, eyeing an insurrection. The crown’s only hope is Prince Hal, the ne’er-do-well next-in-line, who prefers an Eastcheap pub over court, and keeps the company of the notorious Sir John Falstaff. Will Hotspur’s rebellion triumph? Will Falstaff keep Hal’s devotion? Will Hal languish life away – or become a true prince?

Henry IV, Part I will be performed at 7:30pm in Lower City Park on the Festival Stage. The fun starts at 6:30 with Green Shows on the lawn, Food Trucks on site, and other concessions for sale. This event is FREE and there is NO TICKET REQUIRED.
