In this 6-week course, we’ll explore a bit of art history and try out different media while engaging in the practice of art. We will explore broad art movements such as representational art, impressionistic art, and abstract art by doing projects using paint, pencil, pastels, and other art media. This class is based on a first-year class at the Art Institute of Chicago. Anyone interested in art is welcome…entry level to working artists. The doing of art is a joy, and learning about art is fun. We will do both!! All materials will be provided.
