The purpose of Living Memoirs Project is to help bridge the divide between people of different cultural, ethnic, religious, and social groups through open and meaningful conversation without judgement. At the event, volunteers who have faced discrimination or prejudice converse with the event attendees about their lived experiences and challenges. This event will allow event attendees to become better prepared for interacting with diverse groups of people in their future. The ultimate goal of the event will be to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of the diversity in the Iowa City community. This will be our second time hosting this event at the Iowa City Public Library!
