Mental Health and Cognition As We Age @ Iowa City Senior Center | | |

This program is for older adults who are interested in learning about reality and myths about older adults’ mental and cognitive health. In this program, the facilitator will address inaccurate stereotypes about older adults’ mental and cognitive health, provide information about age-associated cognitive changes and lead participants in some cognitively stimulating activities! The facilitator will also provide some everyday activities for positive psychological growth such as simple sleep hygiene procedures (e.g. relaxation) and a mindfulness/meditation activity!

Facilitated by Devon Dawson, Doctoral Trainee in Counseling Psychology at the University of Iowa.
