The Northern Illinois University Steel Band will perform a concert as a part of the National Society of Steel Band Educators Conference.

Under the leadership of steelpan virtuoso Liam Teague, The Northern Illinois University Steel Band is one of the top bands worldwide. One of the nation’s first college steel bands, the NIU Steel Band was formed by late steel pan advocates and leaders, G. Alan O’Connor and Cliff Alexis. This energetic group will bring the heat to the Voxman Concert Hall as part of the NSSBE Conference.
