2/25: The Power of Fruits and Vegetables
Eating more fruits and vegetables helps protect against chronic diseases. Fruit and vegetables contain necessary vitamins and minerals, and they also contain powerful disease-fighting phytochemicals. In this session, participants will learn about different phytochemicals, the beneficial functions of phytochemicals, and how to get more phytochemicals into their diet. A recipe rich in phytochemicals will be sampled.
Kelly Wagner works as a clinical dietitian at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She is committed to promoting healthy eating habits throughout the lifespan.
Material Fee: $15/session; pay instructor. Registration required.
