Reception for Out & About: Queer Life in Iowa City

Enjoy refreshments and an open house in recognition of the Spring 2023 Main Library Gallery exhibit, Out & About: Queer Life in Iowa City, curated by Madde Hoberg with Aiden Bettine. All are welcome! Free to attend.

This is an open house drop-in style event. Free to attend.

Through documents, photos, artifacts, and ephemera, this exhibition shares about some of the many LGBTQ+ people, organizations, and publications in Iowa City’s history. Items on display are from the Iowa Women’s Archives, University Archives, and Special Collections & Archives at the University of Iowa Libraries; the LGBTQ Iowa Archives & Library of Iowa City; and from community members.
