Screentime: Christopher Hunter/Andrea Truitt/Ramona Muse Lambert

May 20 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Join us for Screen Time, a live virtual talk show airing through Zoom. The monthly program, hosted by Englert’s events director, Jessica Egli, invites teachers, artists, educational and artistic administrators, students, parents, and any other curious community member to come together to discuss the current challenges around reimagining our work for the virtual world and the execution of that work.

Each episode will feature two or three local professionals who will share their stories of hardship and triumph. The program will seek to build bridges between individuals and institutions that can benefit from developing new relationships or strengthening existing ones in an effort to deepen the impact of Iowa City’s online arts education opportunities for all.

Christopher Hunter
Christopher Hunter is an Iowa native. He was born in Mason City and graduated from Linn-Mar in 2009. He graduated with a BFA in Photography, a minor in Art History, and a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the University of Iowa. He has called Iowa City home for the past 12 years.

After contributing to the Iowa City Downtown District as a freelance photographer since 2013, he joined the team full-time in 2017 and is now the Director of Special Events. In this role, he has aided in the planning and execution of some of the most popular community events in the region – including Top Chef, the Block Party, and Northside Oktoberfest. In his free time, he continues his passion for photography while enjoying live music, theatre, art, and supporting local businesses. He is the proud plant dad of over a dozen house plants – with no sign of slowing down anytime soon.

Andrea Truitt
Andrea Truitt is the Community Relations Manager at Summer of the Arts, a nonprofit that produces eight events throughout the year, focusing on music, visual art, and movies. In her job, she oversees potential partnerships and collaborations and manages the volunteer and internship programs. Trained as an art and architectural historian, she assumed for about seven years that she would become a professor but realized that just was not her jam. She is a member of the City of Iowa City Public Art Advisory Committee and is becoming more involved with National History Day. She lives with her partner Matt and dog Molly. Molly is old but spunky, and they can be seen around town with a blue plaid stroller, a cheesy grin (Andrea), and a skeptical look about being in the stroller (Molly) on their respective faces. Andrea has also taken a recent shine to graffiti.

Ramona Muse Lambert
Ramona Muse Lambert believes that art should be an inclusive experience, and often injects humor and playfulness into her work, in an attempt to make it accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages and backgrounds. Born in rural Iowa, and now residing in Des Moines, Ramona creates art in a variety of mediums, including illustration, painting, textile, video, and music. Her current focus lies heavily on illustrating wearable art and for a variety of clients including Exile Brewing Co and the Cedar Rapids Gazette, cohosting a quiz podcast with her husband, as well as raising and trying to enable creativity in her children, born in 2016 and 2019. Since receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Iowa State University, she has been teaching art courses to children and adults at various schools, museums, and workspaces across the state. Most notably she has taught for many years at the Des Moines Art Center, as well as a course at Grandview University. She annually designs and directs the children’s art zone at Hinterland music festival. Since the pandemic began she has been teaching art courses online to adults.
