August 8, 2021

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on August 28, 2021 at 1:00 pm

An anthotype is a photographic print made from exposing light-sensitive colors extracted from plants to the sun. For the first of two meetings, join us on Zoom to learn the four basic steps for making anthotypes. Participants will then create anthotypes at home, experimenting with plants and photographic subjects of their own choosing. For the second meeting, join us at the co-op to share your prints and ideas for nurturing an anthotype practice. Cookies, tea, and a free gift bag of cuttings from PS1’s garden will be served!

Price includes a clip frame and watercolor paper. Ahead of the workshop, participants will receive a list of household supplies and equipment for making anthotypes at home.

Registration deadline: Aug. 8

*PS1 workshops are pay-what-you-can thanks to a generous grant from Kum & Go. $60 is the true cost of the workshop, and we encourage participants to select the cost that they can afford.
