The Boy with the Sun in His Eyes

A Developmental Workshop of a New Musical Written by Steven Gross, Directed by Owen Brightman
Synopsis
Kai is a dreamer and community organizer working to stop the demolition of a public observatory. When the supernatural starts to warp his reality and bring the ghosts of his past and the promise of his future into conflict, he goes on a journey to bring peace to his life and learns how to grieve and grow.
This is a workshop reading! Actors will be reading and singing with their scripts on music stands and there will be minimal staging and design elements. Audience members will be asked to provide feedback on their experience and perspective on the musical following the reading.
Sliding Scale
Tickets are available for general admission at $20, $15, or $10 and for students at $5. We are offering this sliding scale to increase access to these readings for the entire community. Please choose the price level that feels like a comfortable stretch but not an anxiety-inducer.
