Do you have a passion for design and ceramics? Are you looking to work in a beautiful, inspiring environment in the heart of downtown Iowa City? AKAR is looking to hire a part-time Sales Associate to join our dynamic team.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 20 hours of availability per week
Availability to work weekends, Summer, and Winter Holidays
Minimum 4-hour shifts required, with shifts from 10 AM – 2 PM or 1 PM – 6 PM
Previous retail experience is a must
Friendly, outgoing, responsible, and punctual
Excellent people skills to engage with customers
Experience with computers and retail systems
Key Responsibilities:
Assist customers with online, in-store, and phone orders and inquiries
Unpack and process incoming inventory
Add products and images to our online store
Maintain and update the online store regularly
Ensure the store is clean and organized
Refresh and update store and window displays
