Overview
GoldCap Education is seeking dynamic and creative professional teachers to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and curriculum development, paired with a commitment to providing an engaging and fun educational environment.

Instructional team members at GoldCap design and implement enrichment curriculum for middle-school through junior-high-aged students. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable experience for students that challenges their creativity, resourcefulness, and critical thinking skills.

GoldCap also provides tutoring. We are hiring instructors that would also like to do professional 1:1 and small group tutoring, or individuals that are only interested in providing professional tutoring.

What is GoldCap?
GoldCap offers enrichment opportunities for upper elementary and junior high-aged students that build on the great educational foundations students in the Iowa City area receive every day. Our programming appeals to a diverse range of students in a fun and engaging learning environment. We operate on days and times that are convenient for both parents and students, including no-school days, school break weeks, occasional weekends, and after-school hours.

Owned and developed by education professionals from the area, GoldCap opened in spring 2024 in a downtown Iowa City location.

Why Join Our Team?
We are committed to providing a rewarding and meaningful experience for all of our team members. GoldCap offers competitive pay, schedule flexibility, and a fun and autonomous work environment. Our programming runs opposite the Iowa City School District schedule (no-school days, breaks, summer), making this a great chance to explore and expand your teaching areas of interest with students who love to learn!

Instructors have the opportunity to provide input on the types of courses they want to develop and teach, including selecting dates, age ranges, and frequency of the courses. We offer everything from one-time half-day programs to week-long courses. Instructors have the flexibility to develop and teach one-time sessions, multi-day programs, or week-long courses based on their expertise and availability Daytime offerings occur on days when ICCSD does not have school, while other programs take place outside of regular school hours. Tutoring typically happens year round at times and intervals that works for the tutors and clients.
