Join GoldCapEdu for a day of fun-filled adventure in the heart of Iowa City on our last ICCSD No-School Day camp of the year! On Friday, April 18th, Downtown Discovery is an exciting exploration of local gems and beloved businesses, perfect for curious campers who love to discover, play, and connect with their community. With visits to Kitty Corner Social Club, Camp Iowa City for a Pizza Party, and Froyo at Yotopia, this jam-packed day of fun is sure to be a hit!

We’ll kick off the day at one of downtown’s hottest new spots: Kitty Corner Social Club! This cozy, creative cat café has quickly become a local favorite. Campers will enjoy some relaxing time with friendly felines and experience the charm that’s making Kitty Corner the talk of the town. Next, we’ll head over to Camp Iowa City for a private pizza party and games, hosted in partnership with Scouts Honor Pizza. Campers will enjoy an exclusive lunchtime experience full of delicious food and fun games.

After lunch, it’s time to get moving with a Ped Mall scavenger hunt, designed to get kids thinking, observing, and exploring. We’ll wrap up the day with a sweet treat at Yotopia, Iowa City’s favorite frozen yogurt spot. With hands-on experiences and a chance to hit-up some of Iowa City’s favorite downtown locally owned businesses, Downtown Discovery is a day your camper won’t forget!

Early drop (8:30am) and late pickup (4:30pm) is available for an additional fee. GoldCap staff will meet parents outside of Merge to assist with pick-up and drop-off. Following registration, additional materials will be emailed to gather additional information about each student, and provide specific information about drop-off, pick-up and/or additional logsitics as needed.
