The Better Bathrooms program is an incentive program for night-life businesses intended to help spur and support business investment in restroom spaces. The program provides matching funding towards enhanced investments in bathrooms throughout downtown with priorities of improving clean, safe, and welcoming spaces in late-night businesses as funds are available.

Designed for businesses with operating hours past 10 pm, the Better Bathrooms grant program was created to spur business investment in restroom spaces with priorities of enhancing safety, cleanliness, and welcoming features to Downtown’s nightlife.

The program offers two tiers of participation
A Little – 50/50 match up to $3,000 (as funds are available)
- Likely a single-use bathroom or minor updates
- Applicants for this grant must at minimum address 3 different categories of their choosing from the first section of each of the 5 main categories [Lighting, Cleanliness Efficiencies/Touch Point Reduction/Accessibility, Visuals, Durability and Privacy].
- Once the minimum is addressed they may select additional items in whatever category desired.
A Lotta – 50/50 match up to $6,000 (as funds are available)
- Multi stall bathroom or major updates
- Applicants for this grant must at minimum address one item from the first section of each category [Lighting, Cleanliness Efficiencies/Touch Point Reduction/Accessibility, Visuals, Durability and Privacy].
- Once the minimum is addressed they may select additional items in whatever category desired.
Applicants should review the number of required priority areas that are needed to be addressed depending on funding amount requested.
