Opening Reception Humanity: From Fierce to Fragile

“I have the advantage of deciding at a very early age that I would grow up to be an artist. I realized that I loved making art and at least my six-year-old peers thought I had enviable drawing skills. Since that early launch, I have relentlessly pursued the study, teaching, and production of art throughout my life.

During my career as an artist and educator, I have worked extensively in ceramics, drawing, photography, and graphic design.

In recent years, I have focused exclusively on the medium of fused glass. As light travels and transforms through the colors of glass, the luminous effect opens a multitude of possibilities for expression that are unique to this material. Glass entices me to push its boundaries and discover new ways of expressing myself through this medium. I find that the challenge of working with this material keeps me intrigued with its inexhaustible possibilities.”
