Live Music: Vintage at Vue Rooftop

Based out of Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, this four-piece band incorporates a blend of American classic rock favorites and British invasion standards to create an evening of great music. Micah, Doug, Keith and Vince utilize their 3 and 4-part harmony abilities to make their songs really come alive. Selections from the extensive Beatles and Eagles catalogs, and some fun favorites, lost classics, and other not-heard-for-a-long-time gems are included in their 3 and 4 set performances. 

Family Folk Machine Concert

Join the Family Folk machine at the Englert Theatre in downtown Iowa City for One Family, a fall concert, at 3PM on Sunday, November 17. We'll sing songs about the stages of life and the bonds between generations. The concert is free with donations to benefit Family Folk machine accepted at the door.

Computer Comfort is an UI Student organization that strives to bridge the age gap in Iowa City by educating older adults about technology. Partnering with the Senior Center, Computer Comfort volunteers strive to leave the community better than they found it by offering tech-related question and answer sessions for seniors. Anyone seeking aid should bring their devices and their questions. Please register in advance foe each session; no sessions on 11/11 or 11/25.

Learn about membership, qualifications, committees, subcommittees, the Capitol Complex, how laws are made, Gerrymandering, lobbying and other things of note. The presenter does not pretend to have an in depth understanding of Congress, but will explain much of the workings that many of us may not know. This presentation will be apolitical and comments of a political nature will not be welcomed.
