Business Breakfast

April 16 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am

$5

The Gazette’s Business Breakfast Series is an in person gathering of business and community leaders from across industries that come together to talk about important issues impacting workforce and other elements of our regional economy.

Join us for breakfast, networking, and discussion from a panel of industry leaders on The Business Take on Taxes.

Lowering property and other taxes may be popular,  but there’s an impact at the local level. We’ll talk about the tension between keeping taxes & fees low and the ability to meet demand for local services and  deliver what residents expect.

The panelists who will be joining us include:

  • John Landon – Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, Vice President
  • Geoff Fruin – City of Iowa City, City Manager
  • Ryan Heiar – City of North Liberty, City Administrator
  • Jaron Wilde – University of Iowa – Director of RSM Institute of Accounting Education and Research

The panelists will chat about this topic in a panel discussion and answer questions. Pre-registration is appreciated and ticket includes a light breakfast. Enjoy networking for the first half-hour.

Date/Time: Tuesday, April 16 from 8 AM to 9 AM. Doors will open at 7:30 AM.

Location: The James Theater – 213 N Gilbert St, Iowa City, Iowa 52245

Tickets: $5, register ahead or at the door. Get tickets
