The Buddhist path is a journey for each of us to become the embodiment of loving-kindness and compassion. Chenrezig meditation is an opportunity to explore this compassion through visualization and meditation and the recitation of the six-syllable mantra: Om Mani Padme Hung.

Location: at the Garchen Mila Buddhist Center, 209 East Washington Street, Suite 200, in downtown Iowa City.
Registration: No registration, drop-in

- Newcomers always welcome.
- Vaccination against Covid19 is encouraged for all visitors. Please refrain from visiting if feeling at all unwell –or if you have been exposed to Covid. If positive for Covid or flu, wait at least ten days before returning.
- Our programs are mostly free of charge and drop-in. Regular visitors are invited to become a member to sustain the Center. Occasional visitors are encouraged to make a modest donation.
- Seating options include both cushions and chairs. Kindly take off your shoes before entering the practice area.
- We are an open and inclusive sangha, and do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, income, sexual orientation, age or political orientation
- Children & youth welcome.
