Dreamwell Theatre will hold auditions for Pleasure Play, a brand new work by Eli Campbell, directed by Meredith Alexander. Auditions will take place September 8 & 9. Performances will be November 10, 11, 17 & 18 at The Artifactory. Rehearsals will begin in October.

Actors should prepare a piece of two minutes or less, memorized (no books or paper prompts), from a character in a play.
The script will be available for your perusal at the Iowa City Public Library beginning September 1.
Synopsis:
Pleasure Play is a brand new work by UI Playwright, Eli Campbell. When Maeve’s mother shows up at their place of work, Maeve must decide what they’re willing to sacrifice in order to reconnect. Meanwhile, the life they’ve built with their partner, Gracie, seems to be descending into a fantasy state – and look, there’s aliens!

Maeve (they/them): 28ish. Our protagonist. Trying to balance life with their partner Gracie and their newly rekindled relationship with their mother.
