This is a community group to share swing dance classes, events, and resources in the Iowa City area. Formerly, it was the University of Iowa Swing Dance Club, which dissipated at the start of the pandemic. We hope to resurrect it as a dance community for both locals and students!
Formerly, this group was the The University of Iowa Swing Dance Club, a student organization that offered classes, workshops and social dances to its members and the Iowa City community. Formed in 2001, the Club aimed to spread swing culture throughout the state of Iowa by promoting, supporting, and attending regional swing dance events.
