Inspired by Federico Garcรญa Lorcaโsย Yermaย and Yoruban cosmology, Tarell Alvin McCraneyโsย In the Red and Brown Waterย is a lyrical offering at the intersection of ancestral myth and ritual about a young womanโs coming-of-age navigating lovers, community, and her chosen path.
