☀️ Tomorrow’s the day — the Downtown Block Party is finally here! Get ready for a beautiful sunny summer day packed with free entertainment, live music, games, interactive art, pro wrestling, street fun, and so much more. It’s going to be a hot one, so remember to stay hydrated and take breaks to cool off.

Stop into any downtown restaurant or business for some AC or to grab water. You can also swing by the @iowacitypubliclibrary (open until 6 p.m.) if you need to fill up your water bottle, rest, and recharge. There will also be a First Aid Tent with @uiowamobileclinic at the Clinton & Washington Street intersection.

A huge shoutout to all the incredible volunteer groups lending their time and energy to make this event a success. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the groups, clubs, and non-profits for their assistance.

The Downtown Block Party closes out on a high note with a captivating aerial performance by Mimi Ke & Elaine McCague!

Iowa’s own Mimi Ke and Irish aerialist Elaine McCague are set to transform the night sky into a living stage, blending circus, dance, strength, and stunning movement above our downtown streets.

@mimimovesaerial brings her passion for thoughtful, dynamic movement and a decade of international performance, while Elaine’s bold, experimental circus work with @loosysmokes and beyond creates a visual dreamscape you won’t want to miss. Together, they’ll turn the final moments of the Block Party into a magical, gravity-defying spectacle.
