About the film: After 50 years together, Grant (Gordon Pinset) and Fiona’s (Julie Christie) marriage is tested when she is moved into a nursing home after her Alzheimer’s begins to be exacerbated. With her memory fading fast, she begins to develop a new relationship with one of the other residents, transferring her affections to another man. Sarah Polley’s (Women Talking) feature directorial debut is a beautifully affecting story adapted from Alice Munro’s The Bear Came Over the Mountain.
