Big, brightly feathered and beloved by millions, Big Bird makes his feature film debut in this live-action family film. After well-meaning do-gooder Miss Finch sends Big Bird to the suburban Dodo family for adoption, the gawky, gullible eight-footer runs away and heads back to Sesame Street. When word spreads that Big Bird has flown the coop, all his old buddies—human and otherwise—join in the search for their fine-feathered friend. But he has run into the Sleaze Brothers—Sid (Joe Flaherty) and Sam (Dave Thomas)—a couple of conniving carnies who paint our yellow hero aquamarine. Will Big Bird return to his home—and to his natural color?
