Top Chef: Downtown Iowa City

Tickets for the in-person event will go on sale on January 5th at 7 am online. Tickets are individual and required for entrance into the event.
Ticket buyers will enjoy access to 17 food booths and 10 mixology stations. Attendees can sample as many or as few of the items as desired.

FROM OUR TOP CHEFS TO YOUR KITCHEN TAKE-HOME BOX
In addition to the in-person event, Top Chef: Downtown 2022 will also continue to offer a limited number of take-home boxes.
The box is built for two people to enjoy and will include:
- 5-course meal to make at home (4 dishes, plus a dessert)
- 4 Drinks
- Each course will include all ingredients, recipes, and/or instructions for each dish. (*Please note that each restaurant will prepare things differently so, some courses may be as simple as bake in the oven, while others may require more steps and time to prepare)
Only 100 boxes will be available for purchase this year. The Top Chef: Downtown boxes will be available for pick-up or can be delivered for an additional fee on the dates listed below. The official list of participating restaurants and menu items will be announced in February.

How does the event work?
Top Chef: Downtown’s in-person event will allow all attendees to sample from 17 food booths and 10 mixologist booths from restaurants throughout Downtown Iowa City. During the evening guests will then vote on their favorite entrees, desserts, and drinks and awards will be given out to the People’s Choice in each category.
Where should I plan on parking?
Attendees should park at the Dubuque St parking ramp next to the Graduate hotel. Upon check-in, guests will receive a parking voucher to cover parking during the event for the Dubuque St parking ramp.
Do I need to bring my ticket?
No. We will have a check-in list of attendees’ names. All attendees should check-in under the ticket buyer’s last name.
*If you sell your tickets, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to change the ticket buyer’s last name.
What else do I need?
All attendees will need to provide an ID if wanting to consume alcoholic beverages. Additionally, for 2022, all attendees will need to provide a COVID-19 vaccination proof.
We are thrilled to be welcoming back the in-person Top Chef: Downtown event! Our utmost priority is the health and safety of our attendees, volunteers, and restaurant staff.
For 2022, Top Chef: Downtown’s in-person event will require proof of Covid-19 vaccination for all attendees or present a 72-hour (or less) negative COVID-19 test for each individual attending the event. Please be sure to bring proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative test to check in at the event on February 28th. Failure to provide proof at the event will result in not being allowed to attend the event with no ticket refund available.
