Northside Oktoberfest

Saturday, September 28, 2024

Save the date! Your favorite beer festival returns to the Northside this fall on Saturday, September 28th. Northside Oktoberfest celebrates 28 years and will include BrewFest, Bier Hall, and SodaFest. Come enjoy the Bohemian nature of the Northside Marketplace with great craft beer, neighborhood food, beer games, live entertainment, and comical contests that you don’t want to miss.

Iowa City BrewFest, sponsored by Fly CID, will remain exclusive with only 700 BrewFest tickets available. BrewFest sells out each year, so we recommend purchasing your ticket as soon as possible to reserve your spot. Only those with an official BrewFest glass will be able to sample beer and wine from vendors on the street.

Bier Hall, sponsored by metronet and New Pioneer Food Co-op, is the general admission portion of the event. Bier Hall gives you a feel for the classic Oktoberfest where the community spirit is high, the food is authentic, and the drinks are flowing! Tickets include a Bier Hall mug that allows attendees to drink wine or beer in the street. You’ll also be welcomed into the event with a free beer pour!

SodaFest, led by the Iowa Children’s Museum, provides kiddos with soda samples so that they don’t miss out on the fun. Activities involve pumpkin decorating, balloon twisting, cardboard city building, inflatables, and so much more!
