Tee time is almost here! Join us next Saturday, May 18th for some mini-golf action and putt your way around downtown from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m.

15 downtown bars and restaurants have crafted their own mini-golf course. Gather your squad and embark on a putt-putt extravaganza around the city while enjoying food and drink specials along the way.

A $55 Team Ticket includes:

It’s here! @herkyonparade has officially begun and is celebrating its 20th anniversary alongside Herky’s 75th birthday. 100 new statues will be displayed from May through August throughout Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Tiffin, and Solon areas with over 20 of them downtown.

Each Herky was made by a local artist and ICDD is proud to sponsor ‘Herkitron’ in Black Hawk Mini Park in the Ped Mall, designed by artist @drewetienne.

Come explore downtown and snap a photo with @uiowa’s beloved mascot!

ICDD is teaming up with @kickitiowacity to manage pop-up opportunities for our “In the Meantime” space on S Linn St. Co-founders Tyesha and Demetrius Perry will bring their expertise to support local businesses, vendors, and entrepreneurs interested in testing the downtown market.

Throughout the next two months, the space will offer the opportunity to shop a variety of vendors and pop-ups with downtown businesses:

- May 23rd - 26th: @catherinesboutique Warehouse Sale
- May 28th - June 9th: @villages_iowacity Pop-Up with @global_mamas
- June 13th - 15th: Vintage Pop-Up featuring @_oddluck, @thriftbandit, @expired.cotton, and @custarhymes
- June 20th - 22nd: @sprii_beauty skincare
- June 27th - 30th: Art Exhibit: “The Art of Saying No” by Michael Stenerson @wolf1200

@yotopiafroyo’s storefront has received a vibran

@yotopiafroyo’s storefront has received a vibrant makeover with a fresh, colorful awning! This transformation comes as a result of their selection as one of the 2024 recipients of ICDD’s CoSign+ Grant Program, sponsored by @midwestone.

The program is dedicated to enhancing storefronts, encompassing features such as projecting signage, awnings/canopies, take-out windows, window transparency, and lighting. Keep an eye out for more exciting changes in downtown, courtesy of MidWestOne’s backing of our CoSign+ initiative!

And thanks to the help of @agrantho and @drewetienne, their mural got a new coat of paint for a refreshing pop of color!
