Tweens in grades 3-6, join us for a very special book club with local author Katherin Nolte! Katherin’s debut, Back to the Bright Before (released May 30 from Random House), is a dazzling novel filled with magic, family, and adventure. Listen as Katherin reads an excerpt, then join in a Q&A and discussion with Katherin and a librarian about the book. After the discussion, enjoy a light snack and a craft based on the book!

This event is for 3rd-6th graders. Reading the book beforehand is very strongly encouraged! 15 free copies of the book will be available at the Children’s Desk while supplies last, beginning October 21. Just ask at the Children’s Desk anytime the library is open for your free copy to read in advance and keep. Bring it to the discussion for signing!

When eleven-year-old Pet Martin’s dad falls from a ladder on their family farm, it isn’t just his body that crashes to the ground. So does every hope her family had for the future.
