Join us for an evening of wine, nibbles and a whole lotta letter writing love!

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to connect with a new penpal, as well as write those letters to family and friends that you’ve been meaning to send. You don’t need an occasion to send snail mail, unless the occasion is an evening spent with like-minded folks penning a note that could change a few somebodies’ days for the better!

How it works:
Upon arrival, each attendee will be greeted with a Penpal Profile. The profile will help to illuminate your interests, hobbies, and proclivities and allow a jumping off point for penpal letter writing. After filling out (and perhaps decorating) your profile, it can be traded with someone at the event or included in one of your four letters.

Each participant will also receive a grab bag of letter writing tools from r.s.v.p. – think stationary papers, washi tape, stickers, pens, stamps and postage–to use and/share/trade with other participants. Postage and papers for 4 letters of your choice will be included, as well as a coupon for 10% off your next visit to r.s.v.p. to restock!

The Iowa City Downtown District will provide snacks and complimentary glasses of wine for attendees while they learn, mingle, create, and enjoy themselves during a leisurely night Downtown!
