The Iowa City Downtown District is set to bring back the Downtown Holiday Market/Pop-Up Shops on the pedmall this holiday season. The pop-up shops that make up the Holiday Market were originally constructed by Hardy Lawn Furniture and designed by AKAR Architecture in 2017. In 2018, due to construction the shops were unable to be used but will be back for the 2019 season.

For 2019, Holiday Market/Pop-Ups will open earlier in mid-November and stay open for 7 weeks.”The holiday market offers a unique and gorgeous opportunity to have additional retail space in the holiday season, a different location to feature your product, or can be a great marketing tool for brick and mortar businesses”, said, Director of Creative Services for the Iowa City Downtown District, Betsy Potter.

The Downtown District is now seeking businesses to fill the 3 shops for the 7 weeks. Businesses will have the ability to rent a shop with a variety of different options including, Weekdays (Monday -Thursdays), Weekends (Friday-Sunday), Weeklong reservations also available.
Each pop-up is heated and can be locked.
There are hooks and shelving that surrounds the wood sides.
There are plenty of plugs for access to power.
Each shop is 8ftx 17ft
Hours for the shops will be 10am-7pm or longer
