Drawn Between: Possibility and Inevitability
Drawn Between: Possibility and Inevitability
February 8 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Curated by Jeremy Chen with works by Jen P. Harris, R Kauff, Kathranne Knight, and Ajdin Kulic, Drawn Between is an exhibition and publication project curious about the act of drawing. What happens when we draw? What is drawing for? The show title comes from the artist William Kentridge’s assertion that drawing is always “hovering” between “possibility and inevitability.”
ABOUT THE ARTISTS/CURATOR:
Jen P. Harris, R. Kauff, Kathranne Knight, and Ajdin Kulić earnestly engage with drawing as a consequential practice. Each expands drawing in their art endeavors through their use of materials, processes, techniques, or concepts. During their drawing processes they all migrate between possibility and inevitability. Artist and curator Jeremy Chen is based in Grinnell, Iowa and uses drawing as a mode of thinking and making.
