ICDD Workshop Series | Quilled Paper Craft

June 4 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Ten Thousand Villages, a pioneer of fair trade, knows the importance of a handcrafted product and the weight of meaning that it carries. If you have shopped at their store, we already know that you’re an intentional shopper and appreciate the story behind your purchase. Join us for a quilling workshop and give meaning to your own creation – whether it’s a coiled flower or animal, you’ll leave the workshop feeling like you mastered a new craft.

Quilling is an old paper art form in which strips of paper are coiled, shaped into different shapes and glued. After learning the techniques, attendees can quill their desired shape which can be attached to a card of your choice – perhaps a Father’s Day card! These delicate and intricate creations will make for a gorgeous card that will look store-bought and high-end but will be hold a deeper sentiment that your loved one will appreciate.

The Iowa City Downtown District will provide complimentary glasses of wine for attendees while they learn, mingle, create, and enjoy themselves during a leisurely night Downtown!
