Adobe Lightroom Classic is your gateway to effortless photo editing and seamless organization. In this workshop, we’ll introduce the basics of using Lightroom, making it accessible to everyone. No prior experience required!
What You’ll Learn:
- Importing photos from your computer or hard drive into Lightroom Classic.
- Creating organized collections to keep your images in order.
- Adding ratings and keywords for smarter, hassle-free searches.
- Mastering both simple and advanced editing techniques.
- Essential skills like cropping, adjusting exposure, and more.
- Exporting your finished images from Lightroom.
- Troubleshooting common issues, including locating lost photos.
Feel free to bring your own digital photographs or follow along with our provided demo images. While it’s recommended to have a USB drive or external hard drive for saving your work, it’s not mandatory.

About Me:
Hi, my name is Charlie Pott and I am a photographer based in Iowa City. I received a BFA in photography from the University of Kansas and I am currently teaching and pursuing an MFA in photography at the University of Iowa.
Please register to reserve a library computer with Adobe Creative Cloud. If you have your own device with Lightroom Classic, reservation is optional.
