It Happens Here, Too: Human Trafficking in Iowa

Human trafficking is happening here in Iowa. Come to learn more about how to identify human trafficking, the tactics used, and join break-out sessions to talk with others about how this issue effects our communities.

1-2pm: Human Trafficking 101 with Lauren Wilson
2-3pm: Human Trafficking and the Internet with Teresa Davidson
3-4pm Breakout Sessions:

Child and adolescent HT: Diana Cox, Jo Myers-Walker; will be showing Chosen documentary Meeting Room D

College students and HT with Meredith Hickerson, Avery Epstein, Madeline Swick

There will be a variety of local agencies with information tables at the event also:
Lila Mae’s House; Dorothy’s House; Shelter House; DVIP; Chains Interrupted; SART/RVAP; Nisaa; Monsoon; Community & Family Resources; and the Johnson County Human Trafficking Coalition.
