She is a contributing writer for theย New York Times Magazine, and her work has appeared in publications includingย Theย Atlantic,ย Harperโs, theย New York Times Book Review, theย Oxford American, and theย Virginia Quarterly Review,ย among many others. She teaches at Columbia University and lives in Brooklyn.
Kaveh Akbar isย s the author of the novelย Martyr!,ย two poetry collections:ย Pilgrim Bellย andย Calling a Wolf a Wolf, in addition to a chapbook,ย Portrait of the Alcoholic.ย ย He lives in Iowa City.
