Self Produce Your Band

This workshop will give you the tools and knowledge to record and release your music, whether you plan to record yourself or rent out studio time, you will learn all the steps in the process and gain a basic understanding of all elements in music production. The first workshop will focus on preproduction techniques, such as composition, arrangement, recording demos, as well as recording techniques. The second workshop will focus on post production, including: mixing, mastering, and distribution. The concepts in this course will be applicable to any production style e.g digital vs. analog, various software, or genres.

*PS1 workshops are pay-what-you-can thanks to support from Kum & Go, GreenState CU, the Community Foundation of Johnson County, and individual donors. $100 is the true cost of the workshop, and we encourage participants to select the cost that they can afford, or pay a little extra to support future sliding-scale fees.

Dan Miller is a musician, record producer, recording engineer, mixing engineer, and filmmaker. He has been making recordings since he had his first Yak Bak at age 5.
