Humanize My Hoodie was started by Andre’ Wright and Jason Sole and originated from a demand to end the killing of Black and Indigenous people across the world.
“The Humanize My Hoodie Movement is not about a single moment in time – it’s a movement rooted in building power for racial equity”.
In this program we’ll share a documentary: Humanize My Hoodie: Road to New York Fashion Week. After, we’ll explore the organization and discuss threat perception from clothes, how fashion activist, Andre’ uses fashion to disrupt systems of inequity and how to get involved in the movement.
