What Does it Mean to be a Good Citizen? A University-Community Collaboration in Rural Iowa

September 15, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Meet members of the West Liberty Citizenship program.  From 2017-2020, West Liberty residents, teachers, retired teachers, and high school students provided support and instruction so that 58 Iowa residents successfully completed requirements to become naturalized US Citizens.

Dan Stevenson is an 8th grade social studies teacher and Erica Jennings is a high school English teacher.  Nancy Gardner is a retired elementary principal in West Liberty and Jan Koellner is a retired West Liberty elementary reading teacher.

Join us on September 15 @ 6 pm and meet two naturalized citizens who participated in the program.
